What's behind the gates - your guide to ULTIMATE tango on-line
When you finally brave into the world of online courses you may discover that they actually work pretty well. Especially if you have a partner ready and willing or if you yourself love to work toward continuous improvement.
There is a scary moment of starting where you have to navigate through the unknown labyrinth of registration, choosing the course, and then figuring out what to click and how to access the content.
I’m pretty advanced - what best for me?
Short Sequences
If you are an advanced tango dancer and you like working on your own schedule and your own pace - Short Sequences Series is the best choice. Each course has a focused subject towards which go all the explanations. At the same time we assume that you are already familiar with the vocabulary of tango elements, you kind of already know it all at least a little bit, so we do not start from the very beginning. Though we always give you a reference point and show you where the movement is coming from. And of course, you can always email us your questions.
Mixology & Fundamentals
Both classes - distinguished by level - are happening ‘live’ on zoom on Sundays at 11 am EST and 3:30 PM EST. They are the equivalent of our level-based classes that you are used to, however, the classes are faster paced because you are practicing with one partner only plus we assume that you will review the lesson from the recording, observe yourself dancing, analyze your mistake, practice and come prepared for the next lesson. The new series of 4 90-min classes start every month with a new focus point. Those classes are very progressive.
Classy Heels & Solo Exercises
Both classes prioritize the solo approach and mastering your individual tango technique. There is a difference though. Solo Exercises happen every Tuesday at 8:30 pm for 45 minutes. Class is recorded and available in case you missed it or simply want to do it again.
Classy Heels is a little bit more difficult, available on demand. new class released every week. Classes are grouped by song, as besides the technique aspect, the class also introduces choreography and musicality aspects.
Beginner Course (on-demand)
I’m always happy to see who is enrolled in the Beginner Tango course. Curious? Mostly Advanced dancers. They are happy to run over all the basics and fundamental ideas. This course is truly a pearl. Of course the absolute, or as we say REAL, Beginner Tango dancer cannot fully appreciate how comprehensive it is - but you certainly can. So I’m happy to see you there.
I DO NOT want to enroll. I just want to see
Fair enough. That’s why all of the courses have FREE PREVIEW. It allows you to view either the sequence from the class, main points from the class, critical explanation and if you don’t know Hernan and Anita and Ultimate Tango philosophy - you get a chance to see a little bit of us. We mostly focus on technique, specifically sensations and communication and we use steps as a pretext to do so.
Shhh! Some courses have 7 days FREE trial so if you super fast you can watch everything for free. Check out Beginners Course and Classy Heels course.
Why do I need to create an account?
This is important! To see any of the free stuff or get access to the course you are about to purchase you need to create an account. Very simple - you name an email. It doesn’t even require your address or phone number.
WHY? Why do I need the account?
The courses are gated. Meaning - to gain access you need to be identifiable. So you log in, the same way you’re logging in to check you email, you see your dashboard and all the courses you registered for.
How does the zoom class look like?
We see you practicing in your zoom boxes on our large screen TV. You can choose to see everyone - or just us. To do so - simply select speaker view and pin our video. We are using 3 different cameras to show what needs to be seen and of course all Hernan’s inventions and props that you so love as they help you understand how the movement happens - are still part of each class.
Videos from the ‘live’ classes are uploaded the same day - both versions - the full screen and tiled version - so you can observe yourself or the instructions.
Each class has an open discussion so you can ask the question(s) on an open forum and see the answers. Of course, as usual, you can also email us and ask.
