Learning Argentine Tango has a couple of phases, and the Beginner course is one of the most crucial components!

In the Beginner course, you will learn all Argentine Tango essentials - a famous tango walk/caminata, baldoza, and 8-count basic to the cross. You will be taught the essence of the tango embrace, how to connect and communicate non-verbally with your partner, how to read body language, and how to convey intention, express your needs, and take care of the couple’s well-being. Can Tango be learned online?
Yes. If you have a dedicated partner our on-demand course can take you where you need to be.

This progressive online course captures all details of the fundamental tango technique. With our typical logic and attention to detail, we are sharing with you all the insides that might be way beyond the comprehension of the dancer at the Beginner level. Why are we giving you more than you can possibly take? Because the sooner you familiarize yourself with all those concepts - the more you start understanding what tango really is. The journey toward discovery.

This course consists of 28 mini lessons - about 10-20 minutes long addressing specific topics. Steps are clearly explained and shown from several angles.

The course includes sample sequences showing several possible combination of the steps you had learned during the course.

Two convenient pricing options - monthly subscription with 7 days FREE TRIAL, or a flat price.

Real & False Beginners

The beginner Argentine Tango course is meant for people who either never ever danced the Tango, took a few tango classes a long time ago, or took a few tango lessons recently but are not sure what they know or if they are ready for the next level. If you don't know what you know, but you do know that you really, really, really want to dance Argentine Tango - this course is for you!

Knowing what you know

The Beginner Tango course will put all your information in order. You gain the necessary vocabulary and learn all the basic movements to be able to easily follow the explanations at higher levels of Tango courses. You will also learn to execute all the movements in close embrace and understand the basics of torsion and its influence on tango dance structure and technique.

Higher Levels

A completion of the Beginner Tango course is required to attend any higher level of Tango classes offered at Ultimate Tango. We respect our students, and we want to keep Ultimate Tango classes at high standards. Please respect our commitment to excellence. And make it your own.

Here is the truth - Tango is one of those mysterious subjects where the essence is really hidden in the fundamentals.

I don’t have a partner . . .

Not a problem! During the class, we change partners so you will always have someone to dance with. Once you're out of the program and start going out, you will realize that everyone dances with everyone, not just with their partner. There are exceptions, of course, but they constitute less than 10% of the tango community.

I have no dance experience…

Excellent! The Beginner Tango Course is perfect for you then! And don't worry. Most of the tango dancers don't have early dance experience. We've all learned it as adults with no previous experience. We teach you from the very beginning in a methodical, approachable way.

I have no sense of rhythm

Somebody told you that and you believed it. That is surprisingly common. However, what we discovered is that most people can move to the music with no problems. Once the coordination of the body meets the melody, you will be surprised how well you will do in a short time. Your brain hears well, so it’s just about getting you to move with it.

Tango Classes - legs-1.jpg

I have 2 left feet!

We love it! We will find you a partner with 2 right feet so you are compatible! But on a serious note - if you can walk, you will be dancing in no time.

We love to meet you and talk about starting your Tango journey. Start with the Beginner Tango Class - no matter your experience.
